The unfortunate has happened and you’ve been involved in a collision. How do you know if the shop you’re choosing has the knowledge to repair your vehicle correctly & safely? Choose an I-CAR Gold Class Certified shop.
Properly repairing vehicles is evolving with every new model year. With new technologies, higher strength metals, composite components & improved car designs, what would have been a proper repair yesterday may not work on a newer vehicle today.
I-CAR, The Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, was established in 1979 through a joint effort of the six segments of the collision repair inter-industry:
- Collision repair
- OEM’s / Original Equipment Manufacturers
- Education, training & research
- Tools, equipment & supplies
- Related industry services.
Through this partnership, I-CAR has developed the industry’s most effective, rigorous and role-specific training. For a shop to reach I-CAR Gold Class certification, the technicians directly involved in repairing your vehicle must complete training courses through I-CAR and obtain Platinum status. Technicians must then maintain Platinum status through ongoing training for a shop to keep its Gold Class certification.
With this continued training through I-CAR, you can be assured that the properly trained technicians at McGrath Collision Center are repairing your vehicle back to pre-accident condition using the correct repair procedures and tools required by I-CAR and the OEM’s.
